Workshop: Flow Arts Style Juggling

Flow Arts style juggling is an art form that combines movement, dance, martial arts, and object manipulation into a unique and captivating “equipment dance.”

I am Andrei Oțetaru, a civil engineer turned street performer and professional flow artist, and my passion for Flow Arts began in 2012, when a simple juggling toy transformed into a lifelong vocation.

Flow Arts is for everyone. It’s not just about technique — it’s about community, self-exploration, and a form of moving meditation that can improve focus, coordination, calmness, and connection with your own body. Whether practiced with standard props, fire, or LEDs, Flow Arts juggling creates spectacular visuals, but behind them lie years of training, dedication, and knowledge.

In this workshop, we will learn together how to handle Flow Arts equipment safely, fluidly, and intuitively. We will start with basic movements to build control and confidence, then explore patterns, transitions, and rhythms that bring real flow to life. Each participant will discover how objects become a natural extension of the body, how movement becomes fluid, and how to develop better control over the body.

Motivational Workshop: The Beneficial Effects of Flow Arts on Mind and Body

This workshop explores how Flow Arts can become a way to develop both mental and physical balance. It demonstrates how an “equipment dance” can improve focus, coordination, balance, and overall calmness.

It is designed for teenagers through adults.

Participants will discover what makes Flow Arts special, how it influences the state of flow described by Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, and why circular, rhythmic, and controlled movements have direct effects on the nervous system. We also discuss the differences between juggling with regular props, LEDs, and fire, and how regular practice can provide scientifically proven cognitive and physical benefits.

The workshop also includes a practical session where participants learn basic poi movements, developing coordination, attention, and confidence in their own body.

Motivational Workshop: “Failure, the Great Winner”

This workshop explains how to turn failure into your strongest ally. Drawing from my experiences as Andrei Oțetaru, a civil engineer turned street performer and professional flow artist, the workshop explores how fear of failure limits us, and how accepting it can completely change our direction and perspective. From early failed performances to pivotal moments in my career in Romania and internationally, the workshop demonstrates practically how every mistake becomes a lesson, and every lesson pushes your career to the next level.

Participants will learn how to use failure as a tool for progress, how to assess risks, build confidence, and set realistic milestones that lead to success. We discuss mindset, discipline, perseverance, and the importance of seeking feedback from people more experienced than yourself, because sometimes a single piece of advice from someone you respect can change everything.

The workshop combines storytelling, real-life experience, humor, vulnerability, and concrete examples from the world of Flow Arts, street performances, and personal development.

A workshop about courage, adaptability, and the mindset that transforms failure from an enemy into the greatest winner.

“From Cube to Sphere” – Workshop on Building a Street Performance

“From Cube to Sphere” is a workshop dedicated to the art of street performances and the process by which an artist transforms a show from a raw form into a polished, complete performance. Starting from the “cube,” we learn how to “round off” each corner to create a sphere — each corner representing an essential facet of street performances.

Participants will discover what differentiates an artist from a professional performer and analyze the main types of street shows to understand the structure, mechanics, and logic of each style.

The workshop also covers fundamental topics: what art is, how it generates emotion, why street art has value, and how we can educate the audience to recognize and appreciate it. We learn how to build visibility, create connection, deliver a memorable act, and sustain a performance in public spaces — where attention is not guaranteed, but earned.

A workshop for those who want to understand street performance beyond the spectacle: as craftsmanship, as a language, and as an authentic form of urban art.
